When Cultures Collide
Murli and Tallula's story is heartwarming and we're very excited to be able to share it with you.
Murli is Indian-Singaporean, and his partner, Tallula, is from Devon in the UK. They met while studying their undergraduate degrees at the University of Bristol.

They have been together for over 5.5 years, including more than four years in a long-distance relationship while Murli worked in Singapore and Tallula completed her PhD in the UK. In June 2025, Murli relocated to the UK, bringing their long-distance chapter to an end. Tallula submitted her PhD thesis in September 2025, and to celebrate this milestone, they traveled to Japan for a graduation trip.
Alongside celebrating her achievement, Murli had a secret plan to propose. During this trip, they got engaged.

An outdoorsy couple at heart, Murli and Tallula wanted rings that reflected an earthy, natural feel. Wooden rings felt like the perfect choice.

Murli’s wedding ring is crafted from Devon Oak, while Tallula’s is made from Indian Rosewood.

Together, the rings represent their cultural backgrounds and shared love of the natural world.

We couldn't be more delighted for them both and wish them a lifetime of happiness together. It was our honour to help create the perfect rings for the two of them and we're all thrilled with the end result.
