Wonderful Walnut

Hannah and Matthieu designed their beautiful bands with us a while ago now and we love daydreaming about their reasons behind their designs!

"We love hiking and being outdoors, so using wood as a base for the rings seemed a natural(!) choice. After searching online, I came across your site and it looked wonderful! We didn't necessarily think about designing our own rings to begin with, but after discussing the idea with friends and family, we came up with using the wood from my in-law's walnut tree. We spend a lot of time in their garden, it's where I first met them over a BBQ, where we announced we were engaged, where we announced I was pregnant... ! That garden means a lot to us and the family!"

Hannah and Matthieu's plans, like so many others, had to change due to Covid but we received a wonderful message from them a little while ago with these fantastic images.... Hannah's words and these pictures speak for themselves we think...

"We were officially married at the town hall in Belgium in September 2019 but were waiting until June 2020 to do the big religious ceremony with all our friends and family and wanted to exchange rings then. Then COVID happened and things have been postponed over and over ever since. We got fed up of waiting to wear our beautiful rings so decided to exchange them in the mountains in Switzerland on holiday!
Matt proposed in the mountains in Kyrgyzstan and our honeymoon was climbing Mont Blanc last year so mountains have always played a big part in our relationship. The newest member of the family was also there with us for Mont Blanc even though we didn't know it at the time!"
