Memories of Melbourne

Rings for men are very popular here at Eco Wood Rings and we were delighted when Michael got in touch with us last year, asking if we'd be able to create something special for him.⁠ 

"I was inspired to choose a very different kind of ring as this was my second marriage and I was determined that every little detail would be different this time around. Having agonised over whether to have a ring at all, I decided that I would have one that was distinctly different.⁠ 

I was searching for rings made from alternative materials and stumbled on the idea of having a ring made from wood from my native Australia. Searching for rings made from Australian wood didn't yield many results, but one was a company based very near my home in Bath."⁠ 

⁠We then worked together to create something unique and personal for him and the end result was beautiful.⁠

"There are hundreds of varieties of gum tree, but the River Red Gum is particularly sentimental to me as these trees lined the roads of my suburb in Melbourne and are common in native bushland in the area, including in my local park where I grew up playing amongst these towering giants.⁠

"Having been undecided on whether I would wear a ring, finding a ring that married my Melbourne origins and my Bath home seemed to be the perfect item to reflect the balance and happiness I've found with my partner, Anna."⁠
